Broomfield is delighted to launch its brand-new IT Lab, officially opened by Isaac Dossa, Dukes Finance Director, supported by our Computing Captains. Designed by Mr Anstey and in partnership with leading IT support company, ILUX, it will support pupils in accessing our forward-thinking Computing curriculum. Open-source software has been provisioned across the lab to support programming, graphic design, photography and 3D CAD, equipping pupils with a future proof skill set and allowing them to access the same software at home without an additional cost.
The children have been testing its strengths over the last couple of weeks, participating in our Digital Media Survey, creating their own games using coding and getting to grips with TT Rockstars. It has only been operational since the start of term but is already proving its worth.
